STATES AND PROVINCES#
States And Provinces are the geographical divisions of countries. The state and province definitions in ePersonality are used to complete address and taxation information.
This section explains the Define States and Provinces (IDSP) screen and its associated fields.
The state and province abbreviations are used as standards throughout the system.
The information in the State (U.S.A.) and Province (Canada) tables are initially supplied by High Line, however, you may update or alter this information to suit your company’s needs.
‘Define States and Provinces’ Usage and Examples
State and Province data is stored in the P2K_CM_STATE_PROVINCES table.
- State/Prov
- This field shows the state or province’s standard postal abbreviation.
- State/Prov Name
- This field provides the full name of the state or province
State_Province_Name is a 50-character alphanumeric mandatory field.
- Country
- The country code is a High Line assigned code that uniquely identifies a country.
Country_Code from P2K_CM_COUNTRIES is a 16-character alphanumeric mandatory field.
- Postal Start
- This field provides the start of the zip or postal code range used for verification purposes.
- Postal End
- This field provides the end of the zip or postal code range used for verification purposes.
- Area Code
- This field will provide an area code which will default in when you are entering phone numbers for specific geographic areas in other screens (e.g. IDEN).
