DEFINE LEGISLATIVE FORMS#

The Define Legislative Forms (IDFD) form allows you to create forms within the system for governmental forms such as tax forms and unemployment insurance.

The definition data for the Define Legislative Forms screen is stored in the P2K_CM_FORM_DEFINITIONS and P2K_CM_FORM_FIELDS tables.

Form
This field uniquely identifies the form within the system.
Type
This field identifies the type of form being defined. e.g. Canadian tax form, U.S. unemployment insurance form
Description
This field provides a short description of the form.
File
This field provides any file associated with this from.


Sequence
This field defines the sequential order of the fields within the form.
Identifier
The fields within this form are identified here.
Description
A sort description of the field is provided here.
Prompt
The name of the field that will be displayed on the form is identified here.
Type
The field's type, such as numeric, date or alphanumeric is identified here.
Usage
Whether the field is user-defined or system provided is identified here.
Level
The field level (e.g. employee, employer, federal, etc.) is identified here.

Format Mask
This field dictates how the data for the field is to be formatted.

Derivation Expression
This field specifies the derivation expression for the Identifier. Derivation expressions provide the ability to translate values or to retrieve information otherwise not accessible in an interface format. Data from within the Personality database may need to be translated to match the requirements from a receiving third party system. Also, data within a source file may need to be translated to match the Personality specifications.
