System Preference#

This preference identifies the base directory on the application server where the employee's photographs are stored. The pictures may be stored in sub-directories under this base directory, as long as the sub-directory is included in the photo location field (such as Finance\000302.jpg).

This directory is application-server centric (i.e. this must be a directory that the application server process can read from). Therefore if the directory is on a different server, it is recommended that this directory should be referenced as a UNC path (Universal Network Connector) rather than a drive mapping. For example, a best practice would be to set this preference to
appserver\photos
rather than M:\ as the drove reference is indistinct and has been known to cause confusion.

It is important to check that the format of your image files will render correctly in the application. JPG files are recommended.

This preference is set by site in IMST.
