Employment equity reports for both public and private sectors are provided within the system. The EEO reports are flexible while providing the essential information for government reporting requirements such as breakdown by EEO category, gender, and ethnicity.

Required Set Up#
EEO categories need to be attached to an employee’s job through the (IDJB) screen in order for the EEO reports to reflect the information correctly.
- EEO categories are predefined using the fixed lexicon X_EEO_CATEGORY.
- EEO1 values are used for private sector reporting
- EEO4 entries are used for public sector reporting
- EEO5 values are used for Elementary/Secondary school reporting
EEOC Functions need to be attached on the Department through the (IDDP) screen.
- EEOC functions are predefined using the fixed lexicon X_EEOC_FUNCTION.
- This is used for EEO-4 reporting.
Gender is defined on the Maintain Identities Information (IEID) screen.
- This is used in EEO reporting as another major categorization of data for equal opportunity reporting.
- Gender is predefined using the fixed lexicon X_GENDER.
The employee’s ethnic category is set up on the Maintain Personal Information (IEPI) screen.
- Ethnicity is used in EEO reporting as another major categorization of data for equal opportunity reporting.
- Ethnicity is predefined using the fixed lexicon X_ETHNIC.
Responsibility Level is defined on the Maintain Assignments (IEAS) form.
- This is used for reporting production and white-collar trainees for full time employees which is a report requirement used for EEO-4 reporting.
- Responsibility Level is predefined using the fixed lexicon X_RESPONSIBILITY_LEVEL.
- Lexicon value of ‘10-Trainee-Other’ is not totaled in production and white-collar trainees.
- The Responsibilty Level will default from the position IDPS (If defined at this level) when the position code is modified on the IEAS.
- The Responsibility Level lexicon may also be used to define security access to employee records.
