BC_ACTION is a mandatory fixed lexicon which indicates the use of a benefit component.
X_BC_ACTION is a fixed lexicon with the following values:

The result will not be logged to a benefit line, printed on a register, or accrued on the benefit enrollments form. The result may, however, be used as part of another benefits component that will be logged or stored. Used for interim values only that do not need to be stored (are not the final value of the component). Used to reduce clutter on IBEN, IBEL. |
| 02 | Store on BE Line | Will cause the benefits component calculated to be stored to the Benefit Line (IBBL). Causes system to store value on Enroll record, view on IBEN. |
| 03 | Store on Enroll | Will cause the benefits component calculated to be stored on the Enrollment (IBEN) of the employee. Required to create a BE line (IBBL), which allows value to update remittance. |
| 04 | Store Line and Enroll | Will cause the benefits component calculated to be stored on both the Enrollment (IBEN) and Benefit Line (IBBL). Does both “Store on Enroll” and “Store on BE Line” functions, above. |
