This document describes the UPRLU process. The function has two purposes: 1 - convert the Vertex U.S pay rule data to the Symmetry Tax Parameters, and 2 - audit the U.S Pay Rules to ensure there are no missing tax parameters.

As of Date - Mandatory, user must provide a Date for the system to select which assignment and personal records to review for work and resident state
Create File - Optional, when Yes is selected UPRLU will create a flat file showing the original information in the Vertex columns and the new value in the Misc Tax Parameters
Update Method - Mandatory, user must select which update option the UPRLU must perform
-Vertex Conversion - inserts Miscellaneous Tax Parameters in IPRLU based on current information in State tab of IPRLU
-Update Misc Tax Parameters – not supported at this time, intention is that this method will update IPRLU with any new tax parameters
Directory Name - Optional, allows the user to specify a valid directory known to the database server. This is used when the Create File parameter is set to Yes.
File Name -Optional, allows the user to specify a file name for the UPRLU flat file created
-The file extension must be .xls, this is the only supported file format for UPRLU
Trial - Optional, allows the user to run in Trial or Update mode
- With No selected, Misc Tax Parameters will be inserted in IPRLU
- With Yes selected, report will indicate what records could potentially be updated. If Create File = Yes, the flat file will still be created
Exception Level - Mandatory, allows the user to select the amount of trace messages to print in the report
- Report should be run with Exception Level 0
- If issues are encountered re-run UPRLU with Exception Level = 9 for 1 employee.
User Comment - Allows comments to be printed on the Parameter page
The report filters may be used to filter the employee records by the selected options, for example only run for Employment Status = Active.
