MEAL PREVAIL - Meal Prevail Rate
Time Rule Overview
The role of this time rule is to add or replace the default paid meal time code (defined in the Meal time rule) with the adequate meal paid rate depending of the rate at which the employee is being paid when they have a meal.
Requirements / Features
Time Rule Type Code: MEAL PREVAIL
Additional Info
Frequency
predefined as ‘Every Entry’
Meal time code should be included in the target time code set
For example, if this time rule is to work with OT Daily, the Meal time code should not be included in the Apply Time code set for OT Daily. This way it will not be replaced with the new rate. The Meal Prevail time rule should have a cycle number after OT Daily.
New Feature (20070124):
If a time code has not been defined for the Meal Prevail Rate time rule, the time code used for replacing the Meal will be the time code from the previous record.
If there is a gap between the Meal record and the previous record it finds, the time rule will not be applied.
Implementation
The time rule should be set up in IDWR as shown below. See Chapter 3 - Time Rule Improvements for additional information regarding IDWR.
