!!!EMP IMAGE FLDR (System Preference)
This preference identifies the base directory on the [application server|APPLICATION SERVER] where the employee's photographs are stored. The pictures may be stored in sub-directories under this base directory, as long as the sub-directory is included in the photo location field (such as ''Finance\000302.jpg'').
This preference identifies the directory on the [application server] where the employee's photographs are stored. This directory is application-server centric (i.e. this must be a directory that the application server process can read from).

This directory is [application-server centric|SPECIFYING DIRECTORIES] (i.e. this must be a directory that the application server process can read from). Therefore if the directory is on a different server, it is recommended that this directory should be referenced as a UNC path (Universal Network Connector) rather than a drive mapping. For example, a best practice would be to set this preference to ''\\appserver\photos'' rather than ''M:\'' as the drive reference is indistinct and has been known to cause confusion.
It is important to check that the format of your image files will render correctly in the application. JPG files are recommended.
